“It’s All Up From Here” began in 2018 as a collaborative project between myself and my friend, artist and author, Pia Jane Bijkerk. We would meet for coffee (me) and chai (Pia), and get deep and very real about our lives, particularly about our challenges and insights with parenting and relationships.

After some months we decided these conversations were too good to keep to ourselves and so the podcast was born. Our focus is real talk about the things in life that really matter, to help bring back a sense of joy and fun to family, relationships and life. Topics include how to handle screen time, the rise and fall of social media, setting boundaries, dealing with change, talking about sex, understanding family culture, redefining success, and our most popular episode to date is how to know when its time to end a relationship. Coming from different perspectives, it creates a dynamic and entertaining listen! We’ve had incredible feedback and after a break in 2020, we are in the midst of discussing what it will evolve into next, so stay tuned.
